“RF doesn’t discriminate” or “Amateur Radio Doesn’t Discriminate” are common thought-terminating clichés used, often by those who are in a position of advantage, to justify why things like the Amateur Radio Inclusivity Pledge don’t need to exist.

The problem with this argument is that the hobby and service is full of people, and unfortunately, people do discriminate. Making the argument is like having a dinner, and saying “tables don’t discriminate” while ignoring the fact that the person who sends out the invitations for seats at the table does.

The goal of the Amateur Radio Inclusivity Pledge is to provide a tool and resources that clubs and individuals can use to demonstrate their commitment to inclusion in the hobby.
